IIT JEE 2024: Every year, the NTA administers the JEE Main exam in two sessions, during January and April. Like every year, IIT JEE 2024 will be conducted in two phases to shortlist candidates for admission to top-rated engineering institutes. NTA will shortly release all the specifics regarding the JEE exam through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

According to NTA, candidates can take the JEE Mains for three consecutive years after passing their 12th-grade exam. Aspiring students aiming for admission to NITs and IITs often seek information for the maximum JEE attempts. Although there is a cap for JEE attempts, aspirants must note that there is no upper age limit for appearing in the JEE Main.

To clarify all the doubts of aspirants surrounding IIT JEE 2024 attempts, we have provided a detailed overview of JEE eligibility and exam phases.

IIT JEE 2024 Benefits of Two Sessions

In 2020, NTA introduced two sessions for conducting IIT JEE Mains. The primary motive behind this was to provide enough opportunities for candidates to improve their scores.

Here are the benefits of having two sessions for JEE Main 2024:

  1. Candidates can rectify the mistakes they made in the first session.
  2. Candidates have the opportunity to improve their scores on the second attempt if they are not satisfied with their results from the first session.
  3. This system reduces the likelihood of students having to take a gap year, saving them time, money, and effort.
  4. Candidates who miss the first session don't have to wait for an entire year to appear for the exam.

IIT JEE 2024 Validity of JEE score

Regarding the validity of JEE Main scores in 2024, it's essential to note that the score obtained in JEE Main is only valid for the same academic year. In other words, candidates who qualify for JEE Main 2024 can use their score to apply for admission to institutes for the academic year 2024-25. Anyone attempting to seek admission using IIT JEE 2024 score beyond 2024 won’t be considered by the institute.

JEE Main 2024 Eligibility Requirements

Besides meeting the maximum JEE attempt requirement, candidates must also ensure they satisfy the prescribed eligibility conditions.
