BTSC JE applicants should be Indian citizens. It is also available to the subjects of Nepal or Bhutan and refugees of Tibet who migrated to India prior to January 1, 1962, in the intention of permanent residence. Such requirements are in line with government policies governing recruitment in the public sector, as only qualified applicants will be allowed.
As mandated by BTSC, candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of job/field experience as a Junior Engineer under any department or organisation advertised by the Bihar Government. The more the amount of field experience, the higher the weightage of marks in Stage 2 of the selection process.
To avail of age relaxation, candidates must upload a valid category/caste certificate while filling up the application form.
Candidates studying for a Diploma and in their final semester are not eligible to apply for recruitment.
A job experience letter – specifying the name of the organization and the total years of experience - would be required as proof of field experience for BTSC JE eligibility.
