 BTSC FSO 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the educational standards and age parameters as of August 1, 2026:

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Oil Technology, Agricultural Science, Veterinary Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Medicine (MBBS/BDS) from a recognised university, or Master's Degree (Post-Graduation) in Chemistry from a recognised university.

• Specialised degrees in Food Engineering, Food Processing & Preservation, and Process Engineering are also considered eligible per norms.

Age Limit (As on August 1, 2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 Years

• Unreserved (Male): Maximum 37 Years

• Unreserved (Female): Maximum 40 Years

• BC / EBC (Male & Female): Maximum 40 Years

• SC / ST (Male & Female): Maximum 42 Years

• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Upper age relaxation up to 10 years.

BTSC FSO 2026 Selection Process 

The selection for BTSC FSO Recruitment 2026 is based strictly on merit evaluated through a competitive examination.

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT): An objective multiple-choice examination testing subject knowledge, food safety laws (FSSAI Act 2006), and general awareness.

2. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates from the CBT merit list are called to verify original academic marksheets, caste/category certificates, and domicile documents.
