IBPS AFO Syllabus 2025: The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection administers the IBPS AFO exam annually with the IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) examination to appoint Agriculture Field Officers (Scale I) in the public sector banks and financial organizations for agriculture-related work.

The exam consists of three stages, i.e., Prelims, Mains, and Interview to test the candidate's aptitude skills, reasoning ability, English language proficiency, and core Agriculture knowledge. 

The IBPS AFO Notification for 2025 has been released on June 30, 2025, for 310 Agriculture Field Officer positions. The preliminary exam will be conducted on August 30, 2025, and the main exam is scheduled for November 9, 2025.

IBPS AFO Interview

Candidates who pass the Prelims and Mains examination with a minimum qualifying cut off will be shortlisted for the Interview phase. The Interview aims to evaluate the technical knowledge and personality of candidates based on various aspects. The Interview covers a total weight of 100 marks.

To pass the Interview, candidates from the General category need to obtain 40% marks, and reserved category applicants need to secure 35% marks. After the Interview, the final merit list is prepared to appoint candidates across various regions for the role of Agriculture Field Officer.
