IBPS later released Annexure I – Indent for Specialist Officers for the Year 2027–28 (Indicative) on 20 July 2026, revising the AFO Scale-I vacancy count from 190 to 370 posts. Although the application process has closed, candidates should refer to both the official notification and the updated annexure to understand the complete recruitment process, eligibility requirements, and revised vacancy details.

IBPS AFO Vacancy 2026 (Updated)

IBPS has revised the AFO Scale-I vacancy figures through Annexure I – Indent for Specialist Officers 2027-28. As per this update, the total number of vacancies for Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I) now stands at 370, up from the earlier indicated 190 — largely on account of Indian Bank joining the AFO recruitment with a sizeable share of posts. These vacancies are distributed bank-wise and category-wise as follows:

NR = Not Reported. Figures may include backlog vacancies for some banks. HI = Hearing Impaired, OC = Orthopedically Challenged, VI = Visually Impaired, ID = Intellectual Disability (PwBD categories).

Note on other Specialist Officer posts: The same CRP SPL-XVI cycle also carries updated indents for HR/Personnel Officer (60 vacancies), IT Officer (376 vacancies), Law Officer (125 vacancies), Marketing Officer (10 vacancies), and Rajbhasha Adhikari (94 vacancies), Scale I, across the same set of participating banks. Candidates applying for AFO should note that these are separate posts within the same recruitment drive and do not add to the AFO vacancy count.
