PPSC ADO exam has 120 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 4 marks, for a total of 480 marks. The exam duration is 2 hours. One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The paper will be available in both English and Punjabi for the candidates.
To qualify for the interview, candidates must score at least 40% marks (35% for SC/BC). Final selection also requires 40% aggregate marks (35% for SC/BC) in both the exam and interview combined.

PPSC ADO Interview is the second stage after the written exam, where up to three times the number of vacancies are shortlisted. This stage carries 60 marks and is not limited to technical knowledge.
Candidates are also assessed on confidence, communication skills, personality, and awareness of agricultural issues. To make it to the merit list, one must secure at least 40% overall marks (35% for SC/BC) in the combined written exam and interview.
