Examination Name: Higher Secondary (H.S.) Final Examination 2027
Online Form Fill-Up Start Date: November 2026
Exam Conduct Window: March–April 2027

Under the newly enforced regulation, only Regular candidates are permitted to appear in the Assam HS Final Exam 2027. The board has defined two specific categories of students as valid Regular candidates:
Standard Regular Students: Students registered in the 2025–26 academic session who successfully appeared in the H.S. 1st Year Examination 2026.
SUJOG Portal Re-Admitted Students: Students who were unsuccessful in the H.S. Final Examination between 2022 and 2026 and secured formal re-admission into H.S. 2nd Year through the SUJOG Portal 2026.
Important Subject Realignment: For students re-admitted via the SUJOG portal, their previous subject combinations have been restructured into six compulsory subjects in complete alignment with current academic regulations.
The board has laid down strict criteria governing subject appearances, minimum pass marks, best-of-five score calculations, and General Studies assessment.
Every candidate must appear in all 6 (six) subjects as printed on their official Admit Card. If a candidate remains ABSENT in even 1 (one) subject listed on the Admit Card, the overall result will be declared as FAIL.
Aggregate Requirement: A candidate must score at least 33% marks in aggregate considering all 6 subjects combined.
Single Subject Failure Rule: If a student fails in one subject but secures at least 33% marks in aggregate across all 6 subjects, they will be declared as PASS for certification. The subject in which the student scored the lowest mark will be reflected on the certificate as the sixth subject.
Best-of-Five Calculation: The overall percentage and final pass total will be calculated based on the marks obtained in the 5 best subjects out of the 6 subjects.
For subjects containing practical or project components, students must clear theory and practical/project exams separately by scoring a minimum of 33% marks in each part.
The General Studies subject grade will be assessed internally by institutions based on student performance in the Half-Yearly Examination of Class XII. Question papers for this internal evaluation are framed by District Level Internal Examination Committees (DLIEC). Institutions will submit these grades on the board portal during the November 2026 form fill-up.
To support candidate career progression, ASSEB Division-II will conduct a Special H.S. Final Examination 2027 within 2 (two) months from the date of declaration of the main HS Final Exam 2027 results. Online form fill-up for the Special Exam will begin immediately after the main result announcement.
