3. Personality Test

A self-report personality assessment, non-qualifying but mandatory for candidates who clear the Main exam — appearing in it is a prerequisite for the Interview.

4. Interview

  • Total marks: 100

  • Minimum qualifying: 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD)

  • Weightage — Main Exam: Interview = 80: 20

The final merit list is based on the combined score from the Main Exam (80%) and Interview (20%).

Provisional Allotment

Shortlisted candidates are allotted to one of the Participating Banks on a merit-cum-preference basis. This is an All-India cadre posting — allotted candidates may be posted anywhere in India at the bank's discretion. A reserve list of approximately 20% of category-wise vacancies may also be maintained, valid for one year from the date of provisional allotment.

For sectional weightage, topic-wise syllabus, and previous cut-off trends, see our IBPS PO Syllabus & Exam Pattern page.
