ECGC PO Educational Qualification (as on 01.11.2025)
The basic academic qualification for the ECGC PO Vacancy 2025 is going to be a Graduation from any recognised university. We have detailed below the ECGC PO qualification required for the Probationary Officer posts.
A. For Probationary Officers (Generalists)
A Bachelor's Degree/Graduate in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. The candidate must indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
B. For Probationary Officers (Specialists): Rajbhasha/Hindi
A Master's degree in the specified discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% for SC/ST candidates and 60% for others.
One of the following qualifications is required:
Option (i): Master's degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation, with English as core/Elective/Major subject at the Bachelor's Degree level
Option (ii): Master's degree in English with Hindi as a core/elective/major subject at the bachelor's degree level.
Option (iii): Master's degree in any discipline with both English and Hindi as core/elective/major subjects at the bachelor's degree level.
Option (iv): Master's degree in both English and Hindi/Hindi translation.
ECGC PO Age Limit (as on 01.11.2025)
For General category applicants, the age range for the ECGC PO post in 2025 is 21 to 30 years old. This range guarantees that candidates have enough experience but are still within the normal age range for probationary entry-level roles. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.11.1995 and not later than 01.11.2004.

ECGC PO Bank Apprentice Nationality

- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
ECGC PO Physical Disability and Scribe Qualification
Candidates with physical disabilities must follow the instructions given to them by the examining authority. The eligibility criteria for ECGC PO 2025 for Physically Handicapped are as follows:- Only those persons with benchmark disabilities would be eligible for reservation.
- The candidates who possess a disability of more than 40% in locomotor disability and cerebral palsy/Visually Impaired candidates/Intellectual Disability shall be permitted to avail scribe. Also, these candidates will be given extra compensatory time of 20 minutes.
- The person who will act as a scribe may be from any academic stream.
- The scribe arranged by the candidate should not be a candidate for this online examination.
- The candidate himself has to bear the cost of the scribe.
- The Scribe has to fill out the self-declaration form as released by the company and duly submit it on the exam day.
