The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) Assistant Development Officer (ADO) exam is an important step for anyone who wants to work in the insurance industry. Before Registering, Make Sure to Have

  • Scanned photo (4.5cm x 3.5cm)
  • Signature in black ink
  • Left thumb print on white paper, in black or blue ink.
  • Handwritten declaration in English in your own handwriting on white paper, stating "I declare that all information in the application form is correct and I will present supporting documents when required."
  • Signature in all caps will not be accepted.
  • Thumb impression should be clear, right thumb can be used if left is unavailable.
  • Handwritten declarations must be in English and in your own handwriting.
  • Have all necessary information and payment methods ready.
  • Have a valid personal email and mobile number, till the recruitment process is complete. LIC will send exam call letters through email.
  • If you do not have a valid email address and phone number, please create one before applying.

To Apply for LIC ADO, Follow These Steps

  • Apply online through LIC's website at https://licindia.in/Bottom-Links/careers. No other modes of application will be accepted.
  • Check eligibility criteria for each category (Others, LIC Agents, or LIC Employee) before applying.
  • If applying for multiple categories, only the latest application will be considered.
  • Register by entering personal details and email address, then a provisional registration number and password will be generated.
  • Save and verify the application form before final submission, making sure the details entered are correct.
  • Upload the photo and signature as per the guidelines in "Guidelines for Scanning and Uploading of Photographs and Signatures."
  • Preview the application form before submitting.
  • Pay the required fee and finally submit the application.

Payment of Fees

Application fees and notification charges must be paid online from 21st January to 10th February 2023. Candidates must bear the bank transaction charges. These fees are non-refundable. For SC/ST Candidates There will be an intimation fee of Rs.100/- (including GST)) in addition to the transaction fees.

  • To complete the application, candidates must pay the fees online through the provided options: debit cards, credit cards, UPI, internet banking, IMPS, cash cards, or mobile wallets.
  • After payment, wait for confirmation and an e-receipt will be generated.
  • If e-receipt is not generated, the payment failed, and the candidate must repeat the payment process.
  • Candidates should take a printout of the e-receipt and application form.
  • Non-Indian credit card users' banks will convert the payment to their currency.
  • Close the browser after the transaction for security.
  • Print the application form with fee information after payment.

Photograph Image

  • For the photo, take a recent passport-sized colour picture with a white background.
  • Face the camera and maintain a neutral expression.
  • If wearing glasses, make sure there are no reflections and eyes are visible. Caps, hats, and dark glasses are not allowed.
  • Religious headwear is allowed but must not cover the face.
  • The image should be 200x230 pixels and between 20-50 KB in size.
  • Check the size of the file after scanning and adjust settings if necessary.
  • If not uploaded or if the photo is not the correct size, the candidate will not be allowed to take the exam.

Signature, Left Thumb Impression, and Handwritten Declaration Image:

  • The applicant needs to sign, provide a left thumb impression and write a declaration in English on a white paper using black or blue ink.
  • The signature, thumb impression, and declaration should be the applicant's own and not someone else's.
  • If the signature on the attendance sheet does not match the uploaded signature, the applicant will be disqualified.
  • Capital letters are not accepted for signatures or declarations.

Signature

  • The signature should be in jpg or jpeg format and have a preferred size of 140 x 60 pixels. The file size should be between 10-20 kb.
  • The preferred size for required quality is 240x240 pixels at 200 DPI (3x3 cm) and file size should be between 20-50 kb.

Hand-written Declaration

  • For the declaration, the applicant should write it in English, by hand, on a white paper with black or blue ink.
  • The declaration should only be written by the applicant, not by anyone else.
  • The file format for the declaration should be JPG or JPEG, with a file size of 50 KB to 100 KB.
  • The dimensions of the declaration should be 800 x 400 pixels and a resolution of 200 DPI (preferred for best quality), which is equivalent to 10 cm x 5 cm.

Scanning the Documents

  • Scan your left thumb impression and handwritten declaration at 200 dpi resolution and true colour.
  • Crop the image to include only the thumb impression/declaration, then crop it to the specified size.
  • Save the image as a JPG or JPEG file.
  • Check the dimensions of the file before uploading.
  • Use MS Paint or MS Office Picture Manager to convert the file to JPG/JPEG format if needed.

Procedure for Uploading the Documents

To upload a left thumb impression and handwritten declaration in the online application form, follow these steps:
  • Click on the link for uploading thumb impression/declaration
  • Browse and select the location where the scanned file is saved
  • Select the file, click on "Open/Upload"
  • Preview the uploaded image to check its quality
  • If the image is not clear, upload it again for better quality
