The candidates who qualified for the mains examination are going to appear for the final stage i.e. NICL Assistant Regional Language Test 2025 to be held from 24 February 2025 to 27 February 2025. This Regional Language Test phase will assess candidates’ proficiency in reading and writing in their respective regional languages.

NICL Assistant Regional Language Test will be conducted for 4 consecutive days from 24th to 27th February 2025 in different regions of the nation. Through the NICL Assistant Exam, a total of 500 vacancies for Assistant (Class III) posts are to be filled through Prelims, Mains, and Regional Language Tests.

Candidates are advised to make their travel arrangements in advance and have to appear for RLT at their own cost. SC/ST/PwBD candidates shortlisted for the RLT are entitled to reimbursement of the second class to & fro railway fare/ bus fare by the shortest route, from their place as mentioned in the application, on the production of evidence of such travel.

Candidates who pass the Mains exam are called for the Regional Language Test. The test is qualifying in nature, meaning no scores are allotted.
The NICL Assistant Regional Language Test assesses a candidate's proficiency in the official language of the state or region they are applying to, ensuring effective communication in their assigned locations. Candidates applying for a State/UT other than their domiciled State/UT must appear and qualify for the Regional Language Test in the language of the State/UT for which they have applied.
