CA Final Exam Dates May 2026: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) officially released the exam dates for the May 2026 session on 12th December 2025, with exams scheduled from May 2 to May 12, 2026. Notably, following a recent update on 6th April, 2026, the ICAI Council has decided to conduct the CA Final examinations twice a year in May and November, moving away from the previous thrice-yearly (January, May, September) schedule.
The CA Final May 2026 examinations will be conducted in two groups. Following an official announcement by the ICAI on 6th April, 2026, there has been a significant change in the frequency of the CA Final examinations. Starting from the May 2026 session, the ICAI has moved from a thrice-yearly (January, May, and September) schedule to a twice-yearly schedule.
Under this revised framework, CA Final exams will now be conducted only in the months of May and November each year. This means the September 2026 and January 2027 windows have been discontinued. This transition aims to provide candidates with a more structured preparation window and a standardized six-month gap between attempts to improve the quality of study and overall results.
