CBSE Class 12 Applied Art Syllabus 2026-27

The CBSE Class 12 Applied Art Syllabus 2026-27, also called Applied Art–Commercial Art, focuses on illustration, poster design, visual communication, and practical application of drawing and design skills.

Applied Art Practical Syllabus

1. Illustration – 25 marks

Students study illustration techniques for given subjects and simple situations, supported by drawing from life and outdoor sketching. Different media suitable for reproduction may be used.

2. Poster – 25 marks

Students create a poster in half-imperial size using specified information and a slogan on a given subject. The poster uses two or three colours and is assessed for layout, lettering, emphasis, colour scheme, and overall presentation.
