CS Articleship: One of the most prestigious professional courses is the Company Secretary (CS) Course, which is divided into three levels: the Executive Program, the Professional Program, and the CSEET (Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test). Candidates who pass the Executive Program must undergo 21 months of full-time practical training. This phase helps students understand the practical implications of corporate laws, compliance, and governance, preparing them for real-world challenges.

According to ICSI guidelines, CS students must:

Hours of Work, Leave, and Stipend
To be eligible for CS Practical Training, candidates must work during regular business hours. This means they must put in at least 8 hours a day, five days a week, or 40 hours a week during the Practical Training period. 52 days of leave are allowed to a candidate during the 21-month training period. Additionally, trainees will receive the following monthly stipend (payable only by online transfers or cheques):
If undergoing training under PCS, a minimum of Rs. 3,000 per month must be paid.
If undergoing training at a company or other entities, a minimum of Rs. 4,000 must be paid each month.
CS Articleship Transfer Rules
A student wishing to transfer training must:
Provide 45 working days’ notice in writing.
Submit a resignation letter and receive acknowledgment.
A maximum of two transfers is allowed during the training period.
Project Report Submission
As part of the Corporate Leadership Development Program (CLDP), students must submit a project report based on their training experiences. This report is reviewed by the trainer and is a mandatory requirement to complete the training process.
