To be eligible for the HP SET Physical Science exam 2024, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Physical Science or a related field from a recognized university. Here's a simplified overview of the HP SET Eligibility Criteria for the HP SET Physical Science Exam 2024.- Master's Degree Requirement: Candidates need to have a Master's degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, or Computer Science & Applications from a university recognized by UGC.
- Minimum Marks: For general category candidates, a minimum of 55% marks in the Master's degree is required. For candidates from SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD categories of Himachal Pradesh, the minimum marks required are 50%.
- Ongoing or Pending Master's Degree: Candidates who are currently pursuing their Master's degree or have appeared for their final year exams and are waiting for results can also apply. However, they will be considered provisionally, and their eligibility for Assistant Professor positions will be confirmed only after they pass their Master's degree exams within two years from the date of the SET result.
- Completion Deadline: It's important for provisionally admitted candidates to complete their Master's degree within two years from the SET result announcement date. If they don't, they'll be disqualified.
