The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) offers Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) awards. The JRF tenure is initially for two years. After two years, the candidate's research progress will be assessed, and if recommended by the Institute's Assessment Committee, the fellow will be upgraded to a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) with a higher monthly stipend of Rs. 35,000.
