OPSC Assistant Professor Eligibility criteria for OPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025 include specific educational qualifications, age limits, and other conditions that candidates must fulfill to be considered for the recruitment process.
Educational Qualification: A Master's Degree in the relevant subject from an Indian or foreign university with a minimum of 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
Relaxation for Reserved Categories: For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC), and Persons with Disability (PWD) categories, the minimum required percentage of marks is reduced to 50%.
National Eligibility Test (NET): Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professor (Stage-1) or possess a Ph.D. in the relevant subject from an Indian or foreign university.
Age Limit: As of 15th May 2024, a candidate should not be older than 45 or younger than 21, which means they must have been born between April 17, 1979, and April 16, 2003. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women candidates and by 10 years for Persons with Disabilities having 40% or more impairment.
