• A Master's degree with 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the concerned subject from an Indian University is required.

• Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar accredited test like SLET/SET.

• Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009 or 2016) are exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.

• Alternatively, a Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution ranked in the top 500 globally by QS, THE, or ARWU is also acceptable.

• Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthani Culture is mandatory.

RPSC Assistant Professor Eligibility 2025 For Posts 28 to 30 (Music & Dance)

The eligibility criteria for performing arts subjects, Music (Vocal), Music (Instrumental), and Dance are unique. Expertise in these fields can be achieved through both academic and practical expertise. Also, the RPSC offers two different pathways for candidates. The specific requirements are as follows:

• The requirement of a Master's Degree with 55% marks and NET/SLET/SET or a Ph.D. remains the same.

• Alternatively, a traditional or professional artist with a highly commendable professional achievement and a Bachelor's degree can apply if they meet specific criteria. For example, being an "A" grade artist of AIR/Doordarshan and having studied under a reputed traditional master.

• Working knowledge of Hindi and Rajasthani culture is also required.

RPSC Assistant Professor Eligibility 2025 Key Notes on Qualifications

To ensure clarity for all applicants, the RPSC has listed some provisions related to the educational qualifications. It is important to review these notes on mark relaxation, eligibility for final year students, and SLET/SET validity to fully understand eligibility status. The key points are as follows:

• Relaxation: A 5% relaxation in marks from 55% to 50% is permissible at the Master's level for candidates from SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy Layer), MBC (Non-creamy Layer), and Differently-abled categories.

• Final Year Students: Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying degree are eligible to apply but must submit proof of acquiring the qualification before the interview date.

• SLET/SET Validity: Candidates who cleared SLET/SET from any state before 01 June 2002 are eligible. Those who cleared it from another state on or after this date are not eligible.

RPSC Assistant Professor Age Limit

To be eligible for the RPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment, candidates must fall within a specific age criteria set by the commission. The cut-off date for calculating age is 01 July 2025. As some posts were advertised in previous years, the RPSC has provided a special, one time age relaxation for candidates who are over the age limit as of 01.07.2025:

• An additional 1-year relaxation in the upper age limit is provided for posts at serial numbers 1-4, 6-13, 15-26, and 28-29.

• An additional 3-year relaxation is provided for posts at serial numbers 5, 14, and 27.

To promote inclusivity, the RPSC provides several relaxations in the upper age limit for various categories. It is important to note that these benefits are available to the residents of Rajasthan state. Candidates from other states are not eligible for such relaxations. Note: Candidates from states other than Rajasthan will be treated as General category candidates, and no age relaxation benefits will apply to them.
