The academic qualifications follow the University Grants Commission (UGC) norms. Candidates must hold postgraduate-level degrees in the concerned subject and meet testing requirements.

• A Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks is mandatory. Reserved categories are eligible for a 5% relaxation.

• Candidates should have cleared the NET conducted by UGC/CSIR, or equivalent tests such as SET or SLET, to appear in the recruitment process.

• Those candidates who hold a PhD awarded under UGC guidelines (2009 onwards) are exempt from the NET/SET/SLET requirement.

• Professional and technical disciplines may carry additional requirements, which are clearly stated in the notification.

Note: Degrees must be obtained from universities recognised by UGC or equivalent authorities. Candidates still pursuing their final year are not eligible, as per the official PDF information brochure.
