Assam JMEE Syllabus

The Assam JMEE syllabus is designed to assess the mathematical, logical, verbal, and basic computer knowledge required for admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme. The official Assam JMEE 2027 syllabus and exam pattern are yet to be released by Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU).

Until the 2027 notification is announced, candidates can refer to the previous-year Assam JMEE syllabus and exam structure to begin their preparation.The syllabus is divided into four sections: Mathematics, Reasoning, English, and Fundamentals of Computers.

The Assam Joint MCA Entrance Examination (JMEE) is conducted by Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) for admission to the first semester of MCA programmes in participating institutions across Assam. The examination is conducted for 100 multiple-choice questions, with Mathematics and Reasoning carrying the highest number of questions.

The Assam JMEE syllabus consists of four sections: Mathematics, Reasoning, English, and Fundamentals of Computers. The detailed topics under each section are given below.

Assam JMEE Mathematics Syllabus

Mathematics carries 30 questions and covers topics from areas such as algebra, calculus, coordinate geometry, trigonometry, probability, and statistics.

  • Algebra (including permutations & combinations, binomial theorem, sequences & series)

  • Coordinate Geometry

  • Calculus (limits, continuity, differentiation, integration)

Assam JMEE Reasoning Syllabus

The Reasoning section contains 30 questions and evaluates logical thinking, analytical ability, and interpretation skills.

  • Non-Verbal Reasoning

  • Data Interpretation

Assam JMEE English Syllabus

The English section consists of 20 questions and focuses on language proficiency, comprehension, vocabulary, and basic grammar.

Assam JMEE Fundamentals of Computers Syllabus

Assam JMEE Syllabus 2027 Weightage

The JMEE paper gives equal importance to Mathematics and Reasoning in terms of question count, with 30 questions from each. English and Fundamentals of Computers contain 20 questions each. Based on the 100-question structure, the distribution is as follows:

  • Revise mathematical concepts: Make a topic-wise formula sheet and practise questions from algebra, calculus, coordinate geometry, probability, and other major areas.
