NIMCET Eligibility 2025 criteria are set by the official conducting body, i.e., NIT, Tiruchirappalli(Trichy). NIMCET 2025 applications are open till 16 May 2025. Interested students must apply for this entrance examination before the due date. In addition, the entrance examination will be conducted on 8 June 2025.

Candidates are required to have at least 6.5 CGPA in their three-year graduation program in Mathematics or Statistics. Further, candidates who have pursued B.E or B. Tech with 60% marks are also invited to apply to NIMCET 2025.
NIMCET Educational Qualification happens to be a professional technical degree like B.E./B.Tech or graduation in Maths or Statistics. As per the notification released by the exam conducting authorities, candidates need to be graduates with Mathematics or Statistics with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA. Candidates must have pursued their graduation from a recognized university in India.
Important:
Those students who are sitting in the qualifying exam can also apply for NIMCET 2025. They are required to submit their proof of studying(by head of the Instituition) during the counselling process(before 30 September 2025).
If a candidate fails to submit the proof before September 30, 2025, their candidature will be cancelled.
Candidates who are pursuing or have pursued their graduation from an open University in India are also eligible to apply to NIMCET 2025. Such students must be associated with a degree course which is approved by UGC/ AICTE and the Distance Education Council (DEC) of the Government of India.
The percentage marks or CGPA are calculated on the basis of marks obtained in every subject included in the graduation course in every year.
NIMCET eligibility 2025 information booklet does not mention any specific age limit to appear in the examination. The only requirement is to be an Indian national with a Maths/Statistics graduation degree or B.E. or B. Tech. Eligible candidates from any age group can apply for this entrance examination. Thus, candidates can be free from the fear of any specific NIMCET Age Limit to appear in this exam.
NIMCET 2025 official information brochure mentions that an interested graduate student to be an Indian national to sit in this exam. Either the candidate or his/her parents are born in India, or, must have a stay in India for a specific time period.
Candidates can appear for NIMCET 2025 many times without any limitation on the number of attempts. There is no restriction on students to appear in this entrance examination as long as they fulfil the other NIMCET eligibility 2025 criteria, like an educational degree in Mathematics/Statistics from a recognized university in India or B.E. or B.Tech. degree.
