Candidates are required to have at least 6.5 CGPA in their three-year graduation program in Mathematics or Statistics. Further, candidates who have pursued B.E or B. Tech with 60% marks are also invited to apply to NIMCET 2026.

NIMCET Educational Qualification 2026

Indian Nationals must have secured at least 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale), or 55% marks / 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates, in any one of the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (minimum three years duration) with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects
    OR
  • A B.E./B.Tech. degree from a recognized University/Institution

Candidates fulfilling the above criteria are eligible to appear for NIMCET 2026.

Important Notes

  • Conversion from CGPA to percentage (or vice versa) is not permitted. CGPA from other scales will be converted to a 10-point scale as per the respective university norms.
  • Candidates appearing in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply. However, they must provide proof of qualification at the time of admission, on or before 30th September 2026, failing which admission will be cancelled.
  • Candidates who have completed or are pursuing their degree through Open Universities are eligible only if the program is approved by UGC/AICTE/DEC.
  • The final percentage/CGPA will be calculated based on all subjects across all years, including languages and optional subjects.

NIMCET Age Limit 2026

NIMCET eligibility 2026 information booklet does not mention any specific age limit to appear in the examination. Eligible candidates from any age group can apply for this entrance examination. Thus, candidates can be free from the fear of any specific NIMCET Age Limit to appear in this exam.

NIMCET 2026 Nationality
