Unlike traditional university cutoffs based solely on raw percentiles, Banaras Hindu University processes allocations using a program-specific normalized score computed from your relevant CUET subject combinations.
The seat matrix factors in several core variables:
Subject Combinations: Your valid scores in specific CUET domain tests, language papers, or general tests as mandated by BHU guidelines.
Preference List: The exact sequence of programs, seat types (Regular, Paid Seat, or Special Fee Course), and college choices locked during CAP-UG registration.
Category & Reservation Rules: Statutory reservation policies, including OBC (27%), SC (15%), EWS (10%), ST (7.5%), PwBD (5%), and BHU Employee quotas.
Seat Availability: Total vacant intakes across constituent faculties and affiliated institutions.
Candidates can follow these steps to check their individual allocation status and download their allotment letter:
Visit the Official Portal: Go to bhucuet.samarth.edu.in or access the admission notification page at admission.bhu.ac.in.
Log In to Candidate Dashboard: Click on Sign In and enter your NTA CUET Application Number and Password.
Open Allotment Status: On the user dashboard, select the Seat Allocation tab to see your allotted program, college campus, seat type, and category.
View Official Cutoff List: To compare opening and closing scores across faculties, download the public Round 1 Cutoff PDF from the updates section.
Download Allotment Letter: If a seat is assigned, download and print your official Round 1 provisional allotment letter for document verification.
Once you review your allotment result, you must take active steps within the portal to secure your admission.
To claim an allotted seat, you must pay the requisite online admission fee through the Samarth portal payment gateway before the published deadline. Failure to pay the fee within the specified time window results in automatic cancellation of the offer, and you will forfeit your right to participate in subsequent regular allotment rounds.
Freeze Option: If you are fully satisfied with the allotted program and college (or if you received your top-preference choice), select Freeze. This locks your admission and opts you out of further upgrading in upcoming rounds.
Upgrade Option: If you accept the current offer but wish to be considered for a higher-preference program or campus in Round 2, pay the fee and choose Upgrade. If a higher choice is allocated later, your previous seat is automatically transferred; if no upgrade occurs, your Round 1 seat remains safe.
When reviewing your seat allotment letter, note the campus location assigned to your program:
Main Campus (Male & Female): Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Social Sciences, and Institute of Agricultural Sciences (Varanasi).
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya (MMV): Women’s college located within the BHU Main Campus.
Rajiv Gandhi South Campus (RGSC): Located at Barkachha, Mirzapur (offering special and vocational degree programs).
Affiliated Colleges:
DAV Post Graduate College (DAVPG), Varanasi (Co-ed)
Vasanta Kanya Mahavidyalaya (VKM), Kamachha (Women)
Vasanta College for Women (VCW), Rajghat (Women)
Arya Mahila Post Graduate College (AMPGC), Chetganj (Women)
After online fee payment and seat confirmation, candidates will be called for physical document verification at their respective faculty or college Dean/Principal’s office:
