CUET UG Toppers' Tips : Vani Gupta from Noida, Uttar Pradesh appeared for the debut edition of CUET in 2022. She appeared in 5 papers i.e., Business Studies, Accountancy, Economica, Mathematics, and English. Vani secured the 100 percentile in all the subjects except Mathematics.

CUET UG Toppers' Tips: Vani’s CUET Experience
Vani got nervous when appearing for the CUET UG exam, especially in Mathematics paper. After reading the Math question paper she thought she wasn’t ready for it. ‘I had maths, economics, and English in one day, and one month later, I had to appear for business studies and accountancy. To appear for all the papers together, one has 200 minutes, meaning 40 minutes for each subject. The first exam I appeared for was maths, and I clicked it by mistake and the exam suddenly started. I wanted to start the CUET paper with the English paper.’ added Vani.Check : CUET News Notification 2024
‘The maths paper was difficult and lengthy as compared to the rest. The paper carried ‘match the following’ type of questions where we had to solve three to four questions to arrive at the solution. That was a bit difficult and time-consuming. Some business studies questions on planning and business environment were difficult and tricky. English was fairly simple.’Check : CUET Exam Pattern
What was Vani’s Preparation Strategy?
Vani prepared through her class 12 Book for CUET exam. She wanted to get admission to Delhi University College which required her to score maximum in board exams. When Vani started her class 12 academic session, the announcement of CUET exam was not done so she focused on her class 12 subjects. Vani also said ‘I picked up several well-known MCQs from the bookstalls but after taking the exam now, I felt those questions were not at par. I bought Career Launcher and TIME’s booklets and MCQ sets from the APC Publishers and Alka Dhawan for Business Studies.’Also Check : CUET Form Correction Window 2024
Preparation Tips For CUET 2024 Aspirants
- Pick the right mix of subjects in CUET.
- Be careful while selecting the paper to start the exam on exam day.
- Focus on grammar and reading comprehension for CUET exam.
- Also, focus on the class 11 syllabus, It is also important for minute concepts.
