The second phase of CSAS UG 2026 is the most important stage of the admission process. Only candidates who complete Phase 1 registration and fee payment will be allowed to participate.
During Phase 2, students have to:
Map CUET UG 2026 subjects with Class 12 subjects
Choose preferred programmes
Select colleges
Arrange programme-college combinations in order of preference
Save and submit preferences before the deadline
Delhi University has made subject mapping compulsory.
Candidates must ensure that the subjects they select in CSAS correspond to the subjects they studied in Class 12 and appeared for in CUET UG 2026.
If a candidate has not appeared in the relevant CUET subject required for a programme, they may become ineligible for admission to that course.
One of the biggest advantages of CSAS is that students can select multiple Programme + College combinations.
While filling preferences, candidates should:
Add as many eligible programme-college combinations as possible.
Arrange choices according to actual preference.
Use the Top, Bottom, and Preference Number options to reorder selections.
Click Save regularly.
Preview all choices before the deadline.
Once Phase 2 closes, the saved preferences will be automatically locked.

Before releasing the first allocation list, Delhi University will publish Simulated Ranks on July 12, 2026.
The simulated rank:
Gives candidates an idea of their likely position.
Helps them understand admission chances.
Allows students to modify or reorder preferences during the Preference Change Window.
The simulated rank is not the final seat allotment.
The first seat allotment will be announced on July 16, 2026 for DU UG Admission 2026.
| Activity | Date |
| Seat Allocation | July 16 |
| Accept Seat | July 16–18 |
| College Verification | July 16–20 |

| Activity | Date |

| Fee Payment | By July 28 |
After accepting an allotted seat and paying the admission fee, candidates will be able to choose one of the following options.
Choose this option if you wish to be considered for a higher preference in the next round.
Candidates opting for Upgrade can reorder their higher preferences within the permitted timeline.
Select Freeze if you are satisfied with the allotted programme and college and do not wish to participate in further rounds.
Delhi University has also allowed candidates who opt for Upgrade to rearrange their higher preferences.
For example:
Candidates admitted in Round 1 can reorder preferences until July 21, 2026.
