NTA CUET 2026 Exam Day Guidelines: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the NTA CUET 2026 exam day guidelines for the exam scheduled to start from May 11 to May 31, 2026. Candidates need to follow the exam day guidelines, dress code, and items to carry on the exam day. Follow the guidelines as mentioned in the document. All the candidates should follow them carefully to reach the test centre on time. Carry the required documents, including the CUET UG admit card, ID proof, and photograph.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has shared important rules for all students taking the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) in 2026. These rules help the exam run smoothly and fairly. Every student must follow these instructions to avoid any trouble at the center. The guidelines explain how to enter the building, where to sit, and how to behave during the test. Following these rules is mandatory for everyone.
Students must wear simple and comfortable clothes on the exam day as per CUET 2026 dress code. The NTA has set specific rules for what to wear:
Clothes: Wear light clothes with short sleeves. Do not wear clothes with large buttons or big pockets.
Footwear: Wear sandals or slippers. Shoes with thick soles are not allowed inside the exam hall.
Jewellery: Do not wear any jewellery like rings, earrings, necklaces, or bangles.
Head Coverings: Simple clothing is preferred. However, if someone wears specific religious clothing, they should arrive early for a proper check.
There are certain things students should do and some things they must avoid:
Do's:
Carry the printed CUET 2026 Admit Card and a valid Photo ID.
Reach the exam center before the gate closing time.
Listen carefully to the instructions given by the teacher in the room.
Sign the attendance sheet when asked by the staff.
Don'ts:
Do not bring any electronic items like mobile phones or smartwatches.
Do not talk to other students during the exam.
Do not bring any bits of paper or books into the room.
Do not leave the seat until the exam is finished.
Students are allowed to bring only a few necessary items inside the center. These include:
Admit Card: A clear printout of the CUET 2026 Admit Card.
Identity Proof: An original ID card like an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or School ID.
Photographs: One or two passport-size photos to stick on the attendance sheet.
Water Bottle: A transparent water bottle is provided for someone who needs to drink water.
Pen: A simple transparent ballpoint pen for rough work.
Candidates need to follow the CUET 2026 reporting time.
Two-Hour Rule: Students are advised to arrive at the exam center at least 2 hours before the test starts to finish all security checks easily.
Gate Closing: The doors of the center will close exactly 30 minutes before the exam. No student is allowed to enter after the gate closes.
Admit Card Details: Every student will have a unique reporting time and shift printed on their hall ticket. Follow the time written on your personal document.
Time for Check: Arriving early is helpful for students who wear special religious or cultural clothes, as they need more time for security checks.
