"One Scientist, One Product" Programme

Why in the news? The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will launch its "one scientist, one product" programme. Five-Year Plan
  • Annual Identification : Scientists or groups must identify a product at the start of each year.
  • Targets : 5,521 scientists will develop products, technologies, models, concepts, or publications.
  • Monitoring : ICAR will monitor progress every three months at the institute level and every six months at the headquarters level.
  • Duration : The programme will run for five years.
Seed Hubs and New Varieties Development Goals : ICAR aims to develop 100 new seed varieties and 100 farm technologies in 100 days as part of the Centre's 100-day action plan.
