The 19th and current chief minister of the state Madhya Pradesh is Dr. Mohan Yadav. He is an Indian politician and businessman. A member of the Bhartiya Janata party, he has represented Ujjain South constituency as MLA since 2013. On 11 December 2023, BJP announced that Mohan Yadav will serve as the 19th Chief Minister of Madya Pradesh along with Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda as deputy chief ministers of the state.

Ravishankar Shukla was the first Chief Minister of the reorganized Madhya Pradesh state from 1 November 1956 until his death on 31 December 1956. Among the major accomplishments were the launch of numerous programs, the development of industries, the commissioning of the Bhilai Steel Plant, and the founding of numerous colleges.

First Woman Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh

Uma Bharti of the Bharatiya Janata Party is the first and only woman Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Bharti was chosen as the BJP's candidate for chief minister in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections of 2003. She led the party to a resounding victory, winning 173 of 230 seats in the legislature, thanks to a heated campaign built on a program of development and her reputation as a Hindutva firebrand. And then, she became the first lady chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.

He was Madhya Pradesh's chief minister from 2005 to 2018 and again from 2020 to 2023.
