One thousand-year-old temple will be re-built  by July 2024

• The Archeology Department will shape the structure of the ancient temple excavated about two and a half years ago in the Ujjain Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple complex into an ancient style Shiva temple.
• Dr. Ramesh Yadav, officer of Archeology Department, Bhopal, said that the work of construction of a 37 feet high ancient Shiva temple, which is about a thousand years old, will be done with the stones obtained from there.

• Madhya Pradesh Teachers Association has decided to run 'Hamara Vidyalaya Hamara Teerth' campaign keeping in mind the educational quality and all-round development of students.
• The union is starting it from the new academic session. Under this campaign, the members associated with the organization will also carry out other creative work besides teaching students in their respective schools.
• State President of the Sangh, Dr. Kshatraveer Singh Rathod said that this campaign has been started on the instructions of the national organization.
• This campaign will be run in schools of 323 development blocks of the state under the purview of School Education Department and Tribal Affairs Department.
• The members (teachers) associated with the organization have set a target of self-disciplining the students to maintain discipline, to attend school regularly and to give separate time apart from the prescribed period for the intellectual development of the students.

National Safe Motherhood Day 2024

• National Safe Motherhood Day is celebrated in India every year on 11 April to raise awareness about the importance of proper health care and maternity services for expectant mothers.
• The Government of India had declared 11 April, the anniversary of Kasturba Gandhi, as National Safe Motherhood Day in 2003 on the request of White Ribbon Alliance India.
• It is a day to honor motherhood and advocate for safe pregnancy and delivery practices, ensuring the well-being of both mother and child.
• The occasion serves as a reminder of the significant advances made in maternal health care while also highlighting the challenges that still exist.

• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi chaired a meeting to review preparations for the upcoming summer season.
• The Prime Minister was briefed on the temperature outlook for the period April to June, 2024, including the forecast of the upcoming hot season (April to June), with high probability over most parts of the country, especially Central India and Western Peninsular India. But there is a possibility of a higher than normal maximum temperature.
• Preparedness in the health sector was reviewed in terms of essential medicines, intravenous fluids, ice packs, ORS and drinking water.
• Emphasis was laid on timely dissemination of necessary IEC/awareness material especially in regional languages ​​through all platforms like television, radio and social media. Since above normal heat is expected in 2024, coinciding with the general elections, it was felt that the advisories issued by MoHFW and NDMA should be translated into regional languages ​​and widely disseminated.

• India's Jagjit Pavadia has been re-elected to the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB).
• Pavadia has been a member of INCB since 2015. India's permanent representative to the UN, Syed Akbaruddin gave this information.
• The UN Economic and Social Council selected Pavadia through voting. she got 44 votes . Morocco's Jalal Taufiq stood second and Paraguay's Cesar Tomas Ares stood third.

• Nobel prize winning physicist Peter Higgs proposed the existence of the so-called ' God particle', which helped explain how matter formed after the Big Bang.
• Higgs predicted the existence of a new particle in 1964, which became known as the Higgs boson.
• He theorized that there must be a subatomic particle of definite dimensions that would explain how other particles – and hence all the stars and planets in the universe – acquire mass.
• The Higgs boson is the fundamental force-carrying particle of the Higgs field, which is responsible for giving the fundamental particles their mass.
• Higgs won the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work with Francois Englert of Belgium, who independently came up with the same theory.
