Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The PET will be conducted for all candidates who qualify for the initial document verification. The parameters for PET are:

Male Candidates – 5 km run to qualify within 24 minutes.
Female Candidates – 1.6 km run to qualify within 8.30 minutes.
For Ladakh Region Only

Additionally, female candidates must submit an undertaking confirming they are not pregnant before undergoing the PET. If found pregnant (12 weeks or more), they will be temporarily unfit and re-examined after confinement.

Candidates availing reservation benefits as scheduled castes/scheduled tribes/ other Backward classes/Economically weaker section (EWS) must possess certificates in the proper format prescribed by the competent authority.
Candidates seeking relaxation in physical standards i.e. height, weight & chest by virtue of belonging to the specified categories (i.e. Garhawalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dograi, and Marathas) as applicable should submit an appropriate certificate as per format duly provided by the competent authority.
Candidates should note that only the Date of Birth and Name mentioned in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination certificate or an equivalent certificate will be approved by the Assam Rifles to ascertain the age and name.
In case the details submitted by the candidates in the online application Form are found to be false at any recruitment stage and even at a later stage, the candidature of such candidates will be disqualified.
