NDA Nationality

As per the NDA Eligibility Criteria 2025, candidates who are citizens of India are eligible to apply for the NDA & NA 2025 exam. Those who are not Indian Nationals must fulfil the NDA eligibility 2025 for male and female candidates as prescribed in the official notification. An aspirant should be an unmarried male/female and must be:
  • a citizen of India, or
  • a subject of Nepal, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and the East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam, intending to settle in India permanently.

NDA Marital Status

  • An aspirant who marries after the date of his application, though successful at this or any subsequent Examination, will be disqualified from the training.
  • Aspirants who marry during training shall be discharged and liable to refund all expenses incurred by the Government.

NDA Physical Eligibility

Physical Eligibility is an essential NDA Eligibility Criteria 2025, based on which aspirants will be shortlisted for further rounds. It is essential to fulfil all the NDA physical test requirements prescribed in the NDA eligibility 2025 shared below.
  • Aspirants should be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease/ disability.
  • Major defects for rejection are weak constitution, imperfect development, congenital malformation, muscular wasting, malformation of the head, etc.
  • Aspirants declared unfit by the Appeal Medical Board (AMB) may request a Review Medical Board (RMB) within one day of the conclusion of the Appeal Medical Board.
  • Female aspirants will be examined by female medical officers and specialists.
  • Aspirants are also advised to correct minor defects/ailments to speed up the finalisation of the medical examination held at the Military Hospital after being recommended at the SSB.
  • As per NDA Eligibility Criteria 2025, permanent body tattoos are only allowed on the inner face of the forearm, i.e. from the inside of the elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of the palm/back (dorsal) side of the hand.
  • Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable, and aspirants will be barred from further recruitment.
  • Tribes with tattoo marks on the face or body as per their existing custom and traditions will be allowed on a case-by-case basis.
  • No hyper- or hypopigmentation or any other disease/syndrome/disability of the skin.
  • No hernia anywhere on the body.
  • Blood Pressure consistently greater than 140/90mm Hg will be rejected.
