CEED Counselling 2026 is the admission phase for the Master of Design (M.Des) programs at various colleges across India. IIT Bombay conducts the CEED 2026 exam. The Colleges accepting CEED scores conduct their own selection procedures. It involves a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) screening, followed by a personal interview to assess candidates. It is expected to begin in March 2026.

Stages Involved in CEED 2026 Counselling Process

The CEED 2026 Counselling Process will be conducted by the colleges accepted the CEED scores. Candidates should choose their preferred colleges accordingly to participate in the counselling process. 

• Checking Official Websites: Institutes participating in CEED publish their counselling schedules and selection process instructions on the website. 

• Distinct Application Process: It is important to note that candidates must apply separately to each participating institute for CEED 2026 admissions. The admission procedures can vary significantly across institutions. 

• Online Seat Allocation and Counselling: Both the seat allocation and the counselling sessions for CEED 2026 will be conducted entirely online.

• Document Requirements: Candidates are required to present original documents along with their photocopies. This includes the scorecard, admission card, and all relevant academic and personal certificates. 

The counselling procedure further involves multiple stages. 

• Design Aptitude Test Screening: Shortlisted candidates will participate in this screening phase. Successful individuals from this test will then proceed to an in-person interview.

• Personal Interview: Candidates who pass the initial screening are invited for a personal interview. 

• Final Admission Selection: Qualified candidates will be invited for admission after shortlisting them based on their scores, personal interview, and document verification. 

CEED Selection Process 2026

CEED Selection Process 2026 involves multiple stages designed to evaluate a candidate's aptitude for M.Des programs. 

Step 1: Screening of CEED Scores

Candidates' scores are reviewed by the admission authorities. Higher scores enhance the chances of selection for desired institutes and typically lead to invitations for subsequent selection rounds.

Step 2: Design Aptitude Test

Each CEED 2026 participating institute conducts its own Design Aptitude Test (DAT). Candidates shortlisted from the score screening round are eligible to take this test. The institute authorities determine who qualifies for the Interview round based on DAT performance. A strong DAT score is essential to progress to the next stage.

Step 3: Personal Interview

IIT Bombay authorities compile a merit list based on the DAT scores. Only eligible candidates from this list are invited to participate in the Interview round. It is important to note that only 10% of the total CEED 2026 entrance exam applicants will qualify for the DAT round to be considered for an interview.

Documents Required for CEED Counselling Process 2026

Candidates must present a specific set of documents for the CEED admission process 2026. 

• Original and photocopy of the CEED scorecard

• Passport-size colour photographs

• Original and photocopy of the Caste certificate (if applicable) and other necessary verifying documents

• 12th Board examination certificate, along with the Degree certificate or Diploma

• Government-issued identity proofs, such as Aadhar cards or voter ID cards

• Marksheets of all qualifying examinations

• Signature (for verification purposes)

• ID proof

CEED Merit List 2026

The CEED merit list is compiled based on scores obtained in the Part B examination of CEED 2026. It will be officially published online on the conducting body's website. The merit list comprises two sections: a final drawing list and a waiting list. Seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis for those on the final drawing list. Any remaining seats are then offered to candidates on the waiting list. Information regarding the total number of available seats will be updated on the official website.
