JEE Main Paper 2A and 2B Notification 2027 Out: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main Paper 2A and 2B Notification 2027. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a national-level entrance test organised in two sessions every year for candidates.

Candidates can use the JEE scores to get into engineering colleges in India. The authority has announced the dates for the January and April 2027 exam sessions.

Candidates can submit their application forms for the JEE Main January 2027 session from 24 October to 22 November 2026 and make the fee payment accordingly to appear for the JEE Main Paper 2. 

JEE Main Paper 2A and 2B Notification 2027 Overview

JEE Main 2027 Paper 2A is conducted for B.Arch admissions, while Paper 2B is conducted for B.Planning admissions. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the exam in two sessions. The Session 1 application process started on 24 October 2026. The exam will be organised from 20 January 2027 onwards.

How To Apply For JEE Main Paper 2A and 2B Registration 2027?

Follow the steps to complete the JEE Main application process. 

Step 1: Register as a New Candidate

1. Visit the official JEE Main website.

2. Open the Online Application Form for JEE (Main) 2027 – Session 1.

3. Select the New Registration option.

4. Complete the registration using DigiLocker, Meri Pehchan, or JanParichay. Candidates can also enter basic details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.

5. Verify the registered mobile number and email ID using the OTP received.

6. After successful registration, note the Application Number and Password for future login.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form

1. Log in with the registered Application Number and Password.

2. Choose the paper for which the application is being submitted:

• Paper 2A – B.Arch

• Paper 2B – B.Planning

• Paper 2A and Paper 2B

• Paper 1 can also be selected if applying for B.E./B.Tech.

3. Enter personal details, academic information, and examination city preferences.

4. Provide details of Class 10 and Class 12 qualifications.

5. Candidates can select up to four examination city preferences.

Step 3: Upload Required Documents

Upload the required documents in the prescribed format and size. These may include:

• Recent photograph or live photograph

• Scanned signature

• Class 10 certificate or marksheet

• Category certificate, if applicable

• PwD/PwBD certificate, if applicable

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee and Submit

1. Pay the required application fee through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

2. Check all the details carefully before submitting the form.

3. Click on Final Submit after confirming the information.

4. Download and save the Confirmation Page.

5. Keep a printed copy of the confirmation page for future use.

JEE Main Paper 2A and 2B Application Fee 2027

JEE Main Paper 2A and 2B Application Fee 2027 is the amount decided by the NTA authority to be paid to submit the application form through the online mode. 

• Late Fee: ₹500 additional fee for applications submitted during the late fee window across all categories.

JEE Main Paper 2A and 2B Eligibility 2027

Candidates need to meet the minimum requirements to apply for the JEE Main exam. 

• Age Limit: No age limit for candidates appearing in JEE (Main) 2027.

• Qualifying Class XII Year: Candidates who passed Class XII / equivalent in 2025 or 2026, or are appearing in 2027, are eligible. Those who passed in 2024 or earlier are ineligible.

Paper 2A: B.Arch

Paper 2A B.Arch exam is 3 hours in duration. A total of 77 questions are asked in the exam. 4 marks are awarded for the correct answer, and 1 mark is deducted for the wrong answer. 

Paper 2B: B.Planning

Candidates get 3 hours to solve 100 questions of 400 marks in the Paper 2B exam.
