NID DAT Result 2025 Re-Check/Re-Evaluation Option

The NID DAT 2025 offers a rechecking option for candidates who wish to verify their results. The rechecking window for the M.Des Prelims was open from February 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM until February 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM. For the B.Des Prelims, the rechecking window will be available from April 1 to April 2, 2025. Candidates can apply for rechecking by logging into the official portal and pay a fee of INR 2,000 per discipline. The rechecking requests should solely be submitted online. The rechecking process will verify that all answers were marked and checked for any errors in the totaling of marks, but it does not involve a re-evaluation of answers.

• The rechecking process is limited to verifying whether all answers were marked and checking for any errors in the totaling of marks. It does not involve a re-evaluation of answers or the correctness of responses.
• Marks will be added accordingly, after the rechecking process is done. 
• If there is any communication needed regarding the re-evaluation of the marks, then the respective candidates will be sent an email on their registered ID. 
• Candidates need to submit a scanned copy of their NID DAT Admit Card, duly signed by the invigilator with the seal of the test centre for the re-checking of the NID DAT result 2025. 
• A fee of INR 2,000 per discipline is required for the rechecking request.

NID DAT Result 2025 Tie-Breaking Policy

The tie-breaking policy is applicable when two or more candidates score the same marks in the NID DAT exam 2025. The method is used to determine the merit ranks between candidates obtaining the same marks. The tie-breaking policy for the NID DAT B.Des and M.Des programs are mentioned below separately. 

Tie-Breaking Policy for B.Des Prelims

• The first criterion for breaking a tie is the marks obtained in Part B of the DAT Prelims. The candidate with higher marks in this section will receive a better rank.
• If the tie persists after considering Part B, the next criterion is the marks in Part A of the DAT Prelims. Again, the candidate with higher marks will be favored.
• If candidates still have identical scores after evaluating both parts, they will be assigned the same rank.

Tie-Breaking Policy for M.Des Prelims

• The first criterion for breaking a tie is the marks obtained in Part II or Part III of the DAT Prelims. The candidate with higher marks in these sections will receive a better rank.
• If the tie persists after considering Part II/Part III, compare marks in Part I of the DAT Prelims. The candidate with higher marks in this section will be favored.
• If candidates still have identical scores after evaluating both parts, they will be assigned the same rank.

Tie-Breaking Policy for B.Des Mains

• The candidate with higher marks in the NID DAT Mains exam will be assigned a higher rank.
•  If the tie persists, priority is given to the candidate with higher marks in Stage 1 of the Design Aptitude Test.
• If still tied, the candidate with better marks in Stage 1 Part B of the DAT will be favored.
• If the tie continues, preference goes to the candidate with higher marks in Stage 1 Part A of the DAT.
• If ties remain unresolved, the candidate with higher marks in the question of the DAT Mains that carries maximum weightage will be ranked higher.
• If all criteria fail to break the tie, candidates will be assigned the same rank.

Tie-Breaking Policy for M.Des Mains

• The candidate with higher marks in the NID DAT Mains exam receives a better rank.
• If the tie persists, priority is given to the candidate with higher marks in the studio test of the DAT Mains.
• If the tie continues, the candidate with higher marks in the DAT Prelims will be favored.
• If still tied, preference is given to the candidate with better marks in Part II or III (subjective) of the DAT Prelims.
• If ties remain unresolved, the candidate with higher marks in the question of the DAT Mains that carries maximum weightage will be ranked higher.
• If all criteria fail to break the tie, candidates will be assigned the same rank.

NID DAT Result 2025 Exam-Wise Weightage

The NID DAT 2025 exam consists of two stages: the DAT Prelims and the DAT Mains, each with specific weightage contributing to the final results. For the B.Des program, the weightage is distributed as 40% for the DAT Prelims and 60% for the DAT Mains.
