The exam was conducted at 92 centres across 81 different cities. NIFT Previous Years’ Exam Analysis

NIFT Previous Years' Exam Analysis involves reviewing and understanding past exam papers to identify key patterns, topics, and question formats. It helps students prepare by providing insights into the structure and difficulty level of the exam, allowing them to focus on important areas, manage their time effectively, and practice under realistic conditions to improve performance.

NIFT Exam Analysis 2024

The NIFT GAT tested quantitative ability, analytical reasoning, communication skills, English comprehension, and general knowledge, with difficulty levels ranging from easy to difficult across sections. 

  • In the Mathematics section, questions were from speed, percentages, profit & loss, simple interest.

  •  The GK sections focused on social science, history, and political science.

  • For the English Language section, questions were from synonyms, antonyms, idioms, and spelling corrections. Candidates were required to read the comprehension passages thoroughly to answer the follow-up questions

  • The overall difficulty level was moderately difficult. 

The NIFT CAT focused on creativity and drawing skills, with questions that were generally easy to moderate but lengthy.

  • Questions were focused on drawing concepts without any follow-up questions. The Questions were worth 100 marks.
     
  • There were questions on a the storyboard or scene depiction using numbers and scenarios such as public park, playing room, or play school.

  • For extra marks, the use of colors with finesse was appreciated.
     
  • Overall the difficulty level was easy. 

NIFT Exam Analysis 2023

The NIFT CAT 2023 focused on assessing creativity through design tasks, such as creating comic strips and visualizing concepts related to Akbar and Birbal, Vikram Betal Covid related comic strips which were generally easier but required thoughtful execution. The GAT section was a bit difficult compared to CAT. The English section in GAT included long passages, requiring sufficient time management skills. The Maths section was difficult compared to other selections. 

NIFT Exam Analysis 2022

In the NIFT 2022 entrance exam, the CAT section included three questions  that were predictable. One was based on the current virus outbreak, the other was based on Logo Drawing using Emojis, while the  third was situation-based requiring candidates to use their imagination and draw a scene. In the GAT section, there were 15 questions with confusing options. There were 35 aptitude and 50 English questions in total as per the NIFT Exam Pattern.
