NIFT 2025 Exam Date: Check Out Exam Dates & Timings, Result Released

NIFT 2025 Exam Date: The National Institute of Fashion Technology started the online registration for NIFT counselling 2025. Candidates must register on the official website at www.nift.ac.in between 24 June 2025 to 1 July 2025  to participate in the NIFT e-counselling and seat allotment process. Applicants with a valid Common Merit Rank (CMR) must select their course preference by 4 July 2025 (Midnight). NIFT 2025 first round seat allotment process will commence from 7 July 2025. 

NIFT counselling will involve multiple rounds of seat allotment, allowing qualified candidates to select their preferred programs and campuses. Participation in the counselling process is mandatory for admission, and candidates must follow the official schedule and guidelines for successful seat allocation. 

Earlier, NIFT final result 2025 was declared on 22 June 2025.  Candidates can download the results using their application number and date of birth. The result is prepared based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in both NIFT written tests (CAT & GAT) and Situation Test/Personal Interview.

NIFT 2025 Exam Dates & Schedule

The National Testing Agency announced the NIFT final results on 22 June 2025 at NIFT official portal. The NIFT written tests comprising GAT and CAT were held on 9 February 2025, followed by Stage 2 exams and interviews for shortlisted candidates starting from 26 May 2025, for PG courses, and 8 June 2025, for UG courses. NIFT 2025 Exam Timings

NIFT 2025 exam timings were scheduled differently for each program and test. For Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des), the General Ability Test (GAT) was held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, while the Creative Ability Test (CAT) took place from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. NIFT 2025 Important Exam Dates

NIFT 2025 important exam dates outline the key events in the admission process, including the entrance exam, result announcements, and further selection rounds. NIFT 2025 Notification Date

The official notification for NIFT 2025 was released on 22 November 2024. Released by the National Testing Agency, the notification provides crucial details about application dates, eligibility, exam schedules, and other key admission guidelines. Candidates could access the notification and related documents on the official NIFT and NTA portals.

NIFT 2025 Application Form Date

The registration process for NIFT 2025 began on 22 November 2024. Eligible candidates could apply for undergraduate and postgraduate programs through the official NIFT website. The last date to submit applications without a late fee was 6 January 2025, while those applying with a late fee could register until 9 January 2025. Applicants were also given a window from 10 to 12 January 2025, to make corrections in their forms. Once the correction window was closed, candidates would not be able to edit their information in the application form.

NIFT 2025 Admit Card (GAT & CAT) Release Date 

The NIFT 2025 admit card for GAT and CAT was officially released on 4 February 2025 by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official NIFT exam portal. Candidates who completed their registration could download their hall tickets using their application number and date of birth. The admit card contained essential details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center, date, and shift timings. Applicants need to carry the admit card to the examination center on the day of the NIFT 2025 entrance exam. 

NIFT 2025 Exam Date for GAT & CAT

The NIFT 2025 entrance exam for both the General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT) was conducted on 9 February 2025. GAT was mandatory for all candidates, while CAT was required specifically for B.Des and M.Des applicants. GAT and CAT are the first stages of the NIFT selection process for undergraduate and postgraduate design programs. 

NIFT Result Date 2025 for GAT & CAT

The National Testing Agency released the NIFT Result 2025 for General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT) on 24 April 2025. Candidates could access their results online through the official NTA and NIFT portals using their application number and date of birth. Candidates obtaining equal to or more than cutoff marks are shortlisted for the NIFT Stage 2 tests comprising Situation Test and Personal Interview. 

NIFT City Intimation Slip Release Date 2025

On 31 January 2025, NTA released the NIFT 2025 city intimation slip through the official NIFT exam portal. This slip provided candidates with advanced information about the city where their examination center would be located for the entrance exam. It helped candidates to plan their travel and logistics, but did not serve as the official admit card. The admit card was released separately for each phase. 

NIFT Admit Card 2025 for Situation Test

The NIFT 2025 admit card for the Situation Test was released on 2 June 2025, for candidates shortlisted after the written exams. This admit card was released online by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates could download it from the official NIFT exam portal using their login credentials. Carrying the admit card to the test center was mandatory for all eligible candidates.

NIFT 2025 Situation Test

The NIFT 2025 Situation Test is a practical examination conducted as the second stage for Bachelor of Design (B.Des) admissions, following the written GAT and CAT exams. The exam was conducted on 8 June 2025 across 18 cities. The test evaluates candidates' creativity, material handling, and problem-solving skills by requiring them to construct a 3D model using provided materials within a two-hour timeframe. The Situation Test contributes 20% to the final selection score, making it a vital component of the NIFT admission process for design aspirants. 

NIFT Answer Key Date 2025

The NIFT 2025 provisional answer key was released on 15 February  2025 by the National Testing Agency (NTA), allowing candidates to review their responses and raise objections until 17 February 2025. After considering the challenges submitted, the final answer key was released in April 2025. The final answer key serves as the official basis for result calculation. 

NIFT Final Result Date 2025 

The NIFT Final Result 2025 was officially declared on 22 June 2025, by the National Testing Agency for both undergraduate and postgraduate design programs. Candidates can access and download their final scorecards from the official NIFT result portal by logging in with their application number and date of birth. The final result is based on combined performance in the written tests (GAT and CAT) and the Stage 2 Situation Test or Personal Interview. After the declaration of results, the counselling process for seat allotment and admission will commence.

NIFT Counselling Date 2025

The NIFT 2025 counselling process for admissions has begun, with online registration and document uploading scheduled from 24 June 2025 to 1 July 2025. Candidates must complete choice filling and locking by 4 July 2025. The first round of seat allotment will take place on 7 July 2025. Eligible candidates must register online, upload required documents, and participate in choice filling for campus and program preferences. The counselling will be conducted in multiple rounds, including four seat allotment rounds and a final spot round, with document verification and admission fee payment at each stage.
