• After login, candidates will be redirected to the Eligibility Criteria page. 
• Fill out your personal details including, Birth category, Economically Weaker Section, (EWS) status, PwD status, Email address, and Mobile number.

3. Academic Information

• Provide information about your educational background, such as

• You can select up to three test cities in order of preference.

• A document that verifies the candidate's date of birth, which can be included in the qualifying examination certificate or as a separate document (PDF format).
• For candidates belonging to categories such as EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, or PwD, an appropriate caste certificate issued by a competent authority is required (PDF format).
• If there is any discrepancy in the name on the qualifying examination certificate, a gazette notification indicating the name change must be submitted (PDF format).
• For candidates with dyslexia requiring special provisions, FORM DYSLEXIC 1 & 2 should be submitted (as per official appendices).
• Candidates seeking compensatory time or a scribe during the exam must submit a request letter (Appendix 10 of the official brochure).

UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates seeking admission to the design programs at various IITs for 2026 must meet the following eligibility criteria as outlined in the official notification. 

1. Age Limit: 

• Candidates belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category must be born on or after October 1, 2001.
• Candidates from the SC, ST, or PwD categories must be born on or after October 1, 1996.

2. Number of Attempts

• A candidate can attempt the UCEED exam a maximum of two times in consecutive years. The UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the corresponding academic year.

3. Qualifying Examination

• Candidates must have passed all subjects in their Class XII or equivalent examination in 2025 or should be appearing for the first time in 2026. Students from all streams (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.
