For UCEED 2027 preparation, PW covers important exam details such as the Part-A qualifying criteria, category-wise qualifying measures and the shortlisting process. For Part-A, the shortlisting measure is calculated using the average marks and standard deviation of the marks obtained by all students who appear for Part-A.
The category-wise qualifying measures are δ for OPEN, 0.9δ for OBC-NCL/EWS, and 0.5δ for SC/ST/PwD. A maximum of 6,400 students are shortlisted based on the Part-A criterion, with all students tied at the 6,400th position also being shortlisted. You must qualify in both Part-A and Part-B to qualify for UCEED 2027 and receive a rank. Your final UCEED score is calculated by adding your Part-A and Part-B marks.
The UCEED 2027 examination is evaluated in two parts. Part-A is a computer-based test, while Part-B contains two subjective questions that are evaluated manually by expert examiners.

Part-A marks + Part-B marks |
The UCEED 2027 evaluation includes Part-A and Part-B, with different evaluation methods and qualifying criteria for each part. Your final UCEED score is calculated using the marks obtained in both parts, and you must qualify in both parts to receive a rank.
Part-A of UCEED 2027 is a computer-based test. The marks obtained in Part-A are used to determine the shortlisting measure for Part-B evaluation.
The measure δ is calculated using the average marks and standard deviation of the marks obtained by all students who appear for Part-A:
δ = μ + σ/2
Here, μ represents the average marks and σ represents the standard deviation of the marks obtained in Part-A. The values of μ, σ and δ are rounded to two decimal places.
The category-wise Part-A qualifying measures are:

SC/ST/PwD |

If the number of students securing marks equal to or above the applicable measure is 6,400 or fewer, the measure will be used as the Part-A cut-off.
If more than 6,400 students meet the applicable measure, the top 6,400 students based on Part-A marks will be shortlisted. All students tied at the 6,400th position will also be shortlisted, so the final number may be slightly higher than 6,400.
The Part-B answer sheets of students who are not shortlisted based on the Part-A criterion will not be evaluated.
Part-B contains two subjective questions. Each question is evaluated manually by two expert examiners independently.
The evaluation is carried out without providing the examiners with the student's identifying information. There is no model solution for Part-B. The answers are evaluated holistically according to the criteria given in each question.
If the marks awarded by the two examiners differ by 10 marks or less, the average of the two evaluations is considered.
If the difference is more than 10 marks, the answer is evaluated independently by additional expert examiners until two evaluations have a difference of 10 marks or less. The average of the closest two evaluations is then considered for the final marks.
If the difference remains more than 10 marks after several evaluations, a moderator may be asked to examine the answers.
The Part-B paper carries 100 marks. The category-wise cut-off scores are:
