BHU Assistant Professor Recruitment 2024 Educational Qualification

Assistant Professor

• Candidates must have a Master's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university or institute.
• Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) at the Master's level. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories may be given a relaxation of 5%.
• Additionally, they must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC, such as SET or SLET.

Associate Professor

• Candidates must possess a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
• Candidates should also hold a Master's Degree with a minimum of 55% marks.
• In addition, candidates should have a minimum of eight years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position, equivalent to that of an Assistant Professor, in a University, College, Accredited Research Institution, or Industry. The period of Ph.D. research will not be included in this experience calculation.
• Furthermore, candidates must provide evidence of published work, including a minimum of five publications as books and/or research papers in refereed journals or policy papers.

• First division in 10th and 12th grade from any Board: 5 points each
• Undergraduate from a top 200-500 institution or in NIRF ranking: 3 points
• Undergraduate from a top 1-199 institution: 5 points
• Postgraduate from a top 200-500 institution or in NIRF ranking: 3 points
• Postgraduate from a top 1-199 institution: 5 points
• Ph.D. from a top 200-500 institution or in NIRF ranking: 7 points
• Ph.D. from a top 1-199 institution: 10 points

• 2 points for each paper published in Q1 indexed journals as a first or corresponding author (Up to 5 papers published since January 2018): 10 points

• 2 points per year from top 200-500 institutions: up to 15 points
• 3 points per year from top 1-199 institutions: up to 15 points

Associate Professor and Professor

• 03 points for institutions ranked between 200-500 in NIRF or top 20 NIRF ranking institutions in any category.
• 05 points for institutions ranked 1-199.

• 05 points for institutions ranked 1-199.

• 07 points for institutions ranked between 200-500 in NIRF or top 20 NIRF ranking institutions in any category.
