IPMAT Exam Pattern 2025 Overview

1. Quantitative Ability (MCQs) : This section consists of 40 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on topics such as Time and Distance, Data Interpretation, Averages, Geometry, Mixtures and Allegations, Numbers, Profit and Loss, Simple Equations, and Permutation and Combination.
2. Verbal Ability (MCQs) : This section includes 40 MCQs covering topics like Grammar, Preposition, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Correction, Fill ups, Articles, Vocabulary, Proper Usage of words, and Error Spotting.
3. Quantitative Ability (Short Answers) : This section consists of 20 short answer questions based on the same topics as the Quantitative Ability (MCQs) section.

IPMAT IIM Indore Selection Process 2025

1. IPMAT Registration : Candidates register for the exam online.
2. IPMAT Test 2025 : The computer-based test consists of three sections: quantitative ability (MCQ), quantitative ability (SA), and verbal ability (MCQ). The test duration is 2 hours, and the maximum marks are 240.
3. Selection of Eligible Candidates for Personal Interview : Candidates who score positively in the aptitude test are considered for the next stage. The Admissions Committee determines the minimum cut-off points for each section, which vary by category.
4. Personal Interview (PI) : Candidates selected for the PI round undergo a personal assessment, which can be either a video-based assessment or a personal interview. This stage is important for the final selection.
5. Merit List Generation and Final Announcement : The final list of selected candidates is announced based on their performance in the aptitude test and personal interview. The selection process is designed to ensure a diverse pool of candidates from various categories.

IPMAT Rohtak Exam Pattern 2025

IIM Rohtak: Exam Duration and Structure

• The exam will be conducted in a single session lasting 2 hours, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in 2025.
• The total duration of the test is 120 minutes, or 2 hours.
• The exam will be a computer-based test (in online mode).
• The IPMAT Rohtak exam paper will consist of 120 questions, with each question worth 4 marks.
• There are three sections in the exam:
  • Quantitative Ability (40 questions, 40 minutes)
  • Logical Reasoning (40 questions, 40 minutes)
  • Verbal Ability (40 questions, 40 minutes)
• There is no sectional time limit to attempt the question paper.
• For each incorrectly answered MCQ question, there will be a deduction of 1 mark.
• There is no negative marking for short-answer questions in the Quantitative Ability section.

IIM Rohtak Marking Scheme

• For each correct answer in the multiple-choice questions (MCQs), 4 marks will be awarded.
• For each incorrect answer in the MCQs in the Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability sections, 1 mark will be deducted.
• There is no penalty for incorrect answers in the descriptive-type (short answer) questions in the Quantitative Ability section.
• There are no marks awarded or deducted for questions left unanswered.

IPMAT IIM Rohtak Selection Process 2025

Stage 1: Online Registration

• Interested applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria will fill out the registration form that evaluates their proficiency in academics and extracurricular activities.
• Eligible applicants will pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 4,175 (for the general category) or Rs. 2,065 (for the reserved category).

Stage 2: IPMAT Rohtak Aptitude Test (AT)

• All interested applicants will undergo the IPM Aptitude Test, which will examine their aptitude, logical reasoning, and proficiency in English.
• The exam is divided into three sections: quantitative ability, verbal ability, and logical reasoning. Each section has 40 questions worth 160 marks, for a total of 480 marks in 120 minutes.
• The exam consists of multiple-choice questions with a marking scheme of +4 for every correct answer and -1 for every wrong answer.

Stage 3: Online Personal Interview (PI)

• The shortlist for online personal interviews (PI) will be announced in the first week of June 2025, based on IPMAT 2025 scores.
• During the interviews, candidates will be judged based on their academics, general awareness, and communication skills.
• The interviews are tentatively scheduled for the second week of June 2025.

Stage 4: Final Selection

• Only candidates satisfying the requirements of the earlier stages will be considered for final selection.
• A category-wise merit list will be generated based on the Composite Score (CS), and the final merit list will be published.
