On June 16, 2023, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore conducted its IPMAT examination for students aspiring to enroll in a 5-year integrated management program. The IPMAT exam structure remained unchanged for this year. Ans, IPMAT 2023 examination was conducted in 34 cities via a computer-based testing format.

IPMAT Analysis 2023: Highlights

• The IPMAT Indore exam pattern remained consistent, with 15 questions in the QA - SA section, 30 questions in the QA - MCQ section, and 45 questions in the verbal ability section.
• Students found the QA section challenging, with questions being more logic and conditional-puzzle-based rather than calculation-based. There was a reduced emphasis on arithmetic compared to the previous year.

• Notably, the overall difficulty level of the IPMAT Rohtak 2023 paper was lower compared to previous years. It was relatively easier, especially the logical reasoning section.
• The easier nature of the exam suggests that we might witness an increase in high scores this year.
• Many candidates made a significant number of attempts, with a substantial majority trying more than 35 questions in the logical reasoning section.
• In fact, a good number of candidates took it a step further and attempted as many as 38 or 39 questions out of the total 40.
• The Verbal Ability section of IPMAT Rohtak 2023 was quite manageable.
• There were no sectional time limits, providing students with flexibility in navigating between sections.
• It's worth noting that there was no on-screen calculator available, but scratch sheets were provided for rough work.
• Interestingly, some quick-thinking individuals managed to complete their papers well ahead of the allotted time.

• The logical reasoning section in the IPMAT Rohtak 2023 exam was relatively easy for many students.
• Most students confidently attempted more than 35 questions in this section, indicating the potential for high scores.
• Although there was one slightly tricky question, it didn't deter many from attempting 38 or 39 out of 40 questions.
• The question mix covered various topics:
  • Coding-Decoding and Blood Relations had 3-4 and 2 questions, respectively.
  • Age, Clocks, and Calendars each had one question.
  • Seating Arrangements had the most questions, with 8 in total.
  • Analogy, Syllogisms, and Inequalities each had 1-2 questions.
  • Sections like Statement-Conclusions, Strong and Weak Arguments, and Puzzles contributed 2-3 or 3-4 questions each.

IPMAT Rohtak 2023 Analysis for Verbal Ability:

• The English section in IPMAT Rohtak 2023 was quite manageable.
• The questions were less challenging than in previous years, but there was still an element of playfulness in this section.
• The main focus was on sentence construction and improvement, reading comprehension, and vocabulary, making it easier compared to last year.
• In more detail, there were two reading comprehension passages with 5 and 2 questions, respectively.
• Other question types included fill in the blanks, synonyms/antonyms, idioms and phrases (one-word substitution), error spotting, and para jumbles, each contributing 2-3 questions.
• Sentence improvement had 4-5 questions, while sentence re-arrangement and sentence completion had 3-4 questions each.
• Additionally, there were 1-2 questions related to analogies.
