IIFT Admission Process 2024: IIFT created its MBA shortlist based on candidates’ CAT scores. The initial shortlist was published by IIFT on 28 February 2024. Further, selected candidates participated in Extempore and PI, which was conducted online between April and May. Candidates who qualified for the subsequent evaluation rounds were selected for the IIFT admission process 2024.
The final merit list, including the names of selected candidates, was released on 28 May. A total of 305 candidates received admission offers for the MBA IB course. Additionally, 124 candidates were offered seats in the IIFT MBA BA program.IIFT Admission Process 2024 Key Highlights

IIFT Admission Eligibility Criteria 2024
Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks are eligible to apply for the MBA (IB) program at IIFT Delhi. Additionally, UG final-year students can also apply for IIFT MBA programs. The eligibility criteria for IIFT Admission 2024 are outlined below:- Completed Qualification: Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years’ duration in any discipline from a recognised institute. The minimum aggregate score in the UG degree exam must be 50% marks.
- Final Year Students: Candidates in the final year of their qualifying examination (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent are also eligible to apply for IIFT 2024 admission. However, they must submit their degree certificate and other necessary documents by October 2024.
- Age Limit: There is no minimum or maximum age limit specified for IIFT MBA admissions. Candidates of any age can fill out the application form.
- Work Experience: IIFT does not mandate a minimum work experience requirement for MBA admission. However, candidates with 1-5 years of work experience may get priority.

To apply for MBA admission at IIFT, candidates must complete the following steps:- Visit the official website of IIFT.
- Complete the IIFT online application process by providing necessary details.
- Candidates must ensure to enter all the details in English.

IIFT Admission Shortlisting Process
IIFT admission officials release two shortlists for selecting candidates. The initial shortlist is based mainly on candidates’ CAT scores, whereas the second and final shortlist considers candidates’ CAT, GD, WAT, and PI performances. After the declaration of CAT 2023 exam results, IIFT shortlisted more than 3000 candidates who have applied for IIFT 2024 admissions based on theory CAT scores. IIFT used a 1:4 ratio to shortlist candidates, which means 4 candidates were selected for each MBA seat available in IIFT. IIFT Final Shortlist for IIFT Admission 2024
The final selection round in the IIFT admission process 2024 is based on candidates’ performance in WAT, PI, GD, and Extempore rounds. Candidates who are selected in the first shortlist receive a call letter to participate in an Essay Writing Test (WAT), Extempore, Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) scheduled between March and April. The details of subsequent selection rounds are provided below:- Writing Ability Test (WAT): Candidates have to write an essay on the given topic. Evaluation focuses on clarity of thought, presentation technique, comprehension, and expression of ideas.
- Extempore: Candidates are given a specific topic, and they need to speak about it. The focus of this evaluation round is to assess candidates’ content clarity, communication skills, and ability to provide fresh insights.
- Personal Interview (PI): Candidates’ ability to present and communicate is assessed in the PI round. Additionally, interviewers focus on assessing candidates’ academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, and analytical abilities.
