CBSE Revaluation 2024 Application Process
Revaluation, in the context of education and examinations like those conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), refers to the process where a student can request a review or reassessment of their exam answer script if they are dissatisfied with the marks awarded initially.
Here’s how the revaluation process typically works:
-
Application
: Students who wish to apply for revaluation need to fill out a formal application form provided by the examination board (in this case, CBSE). This form usually includes details such as the subject(s) for which revaluation is requested and the reasons for dissatisfaction with the original marks.
-
Fee Payment
: There is usually a fee associated with applying for revaluation. This fee varies depending on the examination board and the number of subjects being reassessed. The fee structure is generally mentioned in the revaluation notification issued by the board.
-
Re-evaluation Process
: Once the application and fee payment are processed, the examination board assigns the answer script to a different examiner for re-evaluation. This examiner is tasked with reviewing the answers objectively to ensure that all marks have been awarded correctly as per the marking scheme.
-
Result of Revaluation
: After re-evaluation, if there is any change in the marks awarded, the revised marks are updated in the student’s mark sheet. If there is no change, the original marks remain unchanged.
-
Communication of Results
: The examination board communicates the results of revaluation to the students through their official website or other specified means.
