Kolkata Police Constable 2024 Selection Process
The Kolkata Police Constable 2024 Selection Process is made by the recruitment authority to recruit the eligible candidates for the Constable and Lady Constable posts.- Written Examination: The purpose of the screening exam is to identify individuals for further consideration in the selection process. The results of the exam are not taken into account when creating the final merit list for a candidate. There would be one mark awarded for each correct response on 100 objective-style questions, and a 1/4th mark would be deducted for each erroneous answer.
- Physical Measurement Test/Physical Efficiency Test: A shortlist of suitable candidates will participate in the Physical Efficiency Test, which consists of a running event, after they pass the Physical Measurement Test (PMT). All applicants who pass both the PMT and PET will receive an invitation to participate in the WBPRB-conducted Final Written Examination. The qualifying scores for this test to move on to the next phase will be adjusted by the board. There would be eighty-five objective-style questions, each worth one mark for a right response and one-fourth of a mark for a wrong response.
- Mains Exam: All applicants who pass both the PMT and PET will receive an invitation to participate in the WBPRB-conducted Final Written Examination. The qualifying scores for this test to move on to the next phase will be adjusted by the board. There would be eighty-five objective-style questions, each worth one mark for a right response and one-fourth of a mark for a wrong one.
- Interview: This would be the last phase of the recruitment screening process. A merit list of the candidates who were provisionally selected was created based on the scores obtained in the Final Written Examination and the Interview.
