WB Police Constable 2024 Selection Process
There are four stages in the WB Police Constable 2024 Selection Process including a preliminary test, physical measurement test, physical efficiency test, mains, and interview. The detailed steps of the selection procedure are listed below.Stage 1: Preliminary Written Test
The scores from this qualifying exam are not taken into consideration when creating the final merit list. Three subjects—General Awareness and General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Elementary Mathematics—are included in the 100-mark preliminary exam.Stage 2: Physical Measurement Test
Candidates may attend PMT if they make it through the first stage. Candidates will be examined for the physical parameters listed in the qualifying standards, such as height, weight, and chest expansion.Stage 3: Physical Efficiency Test
Candidates may participate in PET if they qualify for the PMT criteria. To pass this exam, a 1600-meter run must be completed in six minutes and thirty seconds.Stage 4: Final Written Exam
The final written exam comprises four subjects: elementary mathematics, reasoning, English, general awareness, and general knowledge. It has a total score of 85 marks. The exam results will be taken into account when creating a merit list.Stage 5: Interview
The candidates who passed the final written exam will be invited to this round of interviews, which will be worth fifteen marks. There will be questions on the candidates' eligibility for wide general awareness. A merit list of candidates will be created by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board based on the candidates' marks in the final exam and interview.Stage 6: Verification of Character Antecedents
