
A full form of CLAT is the Common Law Admission Test. CLAT is a test for medium-level government admission to 22 national law universities in India. Many private and self-finance law schools in India also use these schools for accreditation. Indian state-owned enterprises such as Coal India, ONGC, BHEL, Indian Steel Authority, Oil India, etc. They also use CLAT Postgraduate points to fill official corporate positions. Exams are performed at law schools after the 12th grade or Higher Secondary Examination to be admitted to the U.G. programs and postgraduate law LLM (Law for Master of Laws).

This examination has a duration of 120 minutes. The CLAT questions consist of 150 multiple-choice questions. The CLAT examination paper covers five sections where students are required to answer questions on topics such as:

The marking system is the correct answer for each answer, one mark is given to the learners, and 0.25 marks are deducted from their mark for each incorrect answer.

As of CLAT 2020, 22 law schools are enrolled. 37 Some partner law schools may use points, but other law schools may also use points. In addition, many institutions in the public sector, including Oil India and the Oil and Natural Gas Company, may apply CLAT PG points to students.
