Upon appointment, Scientific Officers are placed in Group-A, Level 10 of the 7th Pay Matrix. Basic pay is ₹56,100/-. Total monthly emoluments can reach approximately ₹1,35,000 in Mumbai. They also receive allowances like leave travel concession, children's education allowance, and a Contributory Health Service Scheme (CHSS).
