  • BHEL was founded in the Indian Heavy Equipment Industry in 1964.
  • Heavy Electricals Limited combined with BHEL in 1974. In 1991, BHEL turned into a limited public enterprise.

  • In Hyderabad, Telangana, a second steam turbo generator, high-pressure pumps, and compressors plant were created.

  • In November 1964, Heavy Electricals (India) Limited in Bhopal was in charge of managing the initial preparation work for all of these BHEL units.
