DTL Technical Recruitment 2026: Delhi Transco Limited (DTL), a wholly owned undertaking of the Government of NCT of Delhi, has released a recruitment notification for 65 Assistant Manager Trainee posts through GATE 2026. The vacancies include Assistant Manager (Technical) Trainee – Electrical, Assistant Manager (Technical) Trainee – Non-Electrical and Assistant Manager (Civil) Trainee posts.

DTL is responsible for planning, developing, operating and maintaining Delhi's extra-high-voltage intra-state transmission network.

The required qualifying marks are relaxed to pass marks for posts reserved for SC/ST/PwBD candidates, as mentioned in the notification.
Candidates should have a Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
The notification mentions two years of desirable experience in the design and construction of reinforced concrete structures, heavy machine foundations and masonry structures.
The maximum age limit is 28 years as on the last date for receipt of applications.
Age relaxation is available as follows:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC (NCL): 3 years
PwBD: 10 years
Ex-servicemen and departmental candidates: As per applicable government orders.
Other applicable relaxations will be provided according to government norms.
The selection will be based on the GATE 2026 score in the relevant engineering discipline.
The selection streams are:
AM (Technical) Trainee – Electrical: GATE EE
AM (Technical) Trainee – Non-Electrical: GATE EC/CS
AM (Civil) Trainee: GATE CE
Separate merit lists will be prepared for the three streams, and final selection will be based on merit derived from the GATE 2026 normalized score.
For the Technical cadre, inter-se seniority between Electrical and Non-Electrical streams will be regulated in a 9:1 ratio.
Selected candidates will have to execute a service agreement bond covering the training period and a minimum service period of three years after training.
The bond amount is:
₹5,00,000: General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates
₹2,50,000: SC/ST/PwBD candidates
Candidates should carefully read the bond conditions before applying.
The selected candidates will undergo one year of training.
The training will consist of:
3 months academic training through NPTI or another training institute as per DTL's training policy.
9 months field/on-the-job training at DTL substations/offices.
Candidates must secure at least 65% marks in the training examination and final assessment for absorption. Quarterly reviews will also be conducted during the training period.
Candidates who successfully complete the training and meet the required assessment criteria will be absorbed into DTL at Pay Level 10.
Candidates appearing in the final year of their degree examination can also be considered, provided they possess the required qualification at the time of document verification.
Selected candidates will initially be appointed as Assistant Manager (T) Trainee / Assistant Manager (Civil) Trainee in Pay Level 9.
