How Niranjan Hebli Secured AIR 235 in GATE 2026 CSE with Physics Wallah

Preparing for GATE in just a few months requires more than hard work; it requires commitment, consistency, and the courage to trust your preparation. Niranjan Hebli, who secured AIR 235 in GATE 2026 CSE, started his dedicated preparation in August after leaving his job.

Despite having limited time and initial doubts, he stayed focused on daily improvement and gradually built the confidence needed to perform well in the examination.

How PW Helped Niranjan Hebli Secure AIR 235 in GATE 2026 CSE

Niranjan Hebli Started His GATE Journey After Leaving His Job

Beginning GATE preparation after resigning from a job was not an easy decision. Along with academic pressure, Niranjan also had to deal with uncertainty about the future. However, once he enrolled in Physics Wallah's Parakram batch, he committed himself completely to the preparation.

"Main Goa se hoon... August mein batch liya tha Parakram batch... paanch mahine maine rigorous preparation kiya. Din ke kabhi-kabhi 8 ghante, 10 ghante, 12 ghante. Dedication rakha maine is baar GATE ke liye."

Although he had doubts about completing the syllabus in such a short period, he decided not to let those thoughts distract him. Since he had already left his job, he treated GATE as his biggest priority and dedicated the next five months entirely to preparation.

Niranjan Hebli Turned Weak Test Scores into Steady Improvement

Like many aspirants, Niranjan did not begin with high mock test scores. While subjects like C Programming and DSA were already familiar because of his interview preparation, the core computer science subjects required much deeper understanding and practice.

"Mujhe abhi bhi yaad hai. Maine pehla weekly test diya tha DBMS mein usmein mujhe 3 marks aaye the 25 mein se."

Instead of getting discouraged, he changed his preparation strategy. He watched lectures again, referred to additional videos, solved both old and new DPPs, and focused on improving one topic at a time. Gradually, his scores started improving, giving him confidence that consistent effort was working.

How Physics Wallah Helped Niranjan Build a Strong Revision Routine

As his preparation progressed, revision became one of the most important parts of his strategy. Rather than revising only before the exam, Niranjan followed a revision schedule throughout his preparation.

"Revision main daily basis pe karta tha. Raat ko jo bhi maine poore din mein padha tha woh ek baar revise kar leta tha. Weekly test ke pehle sab kuch padh leta tha."

Along with classroom lectures, he regularly attended Physics Wallah's YouTube revision sessions, Maha Revision series, and MCQ practice sessions to revise concepts in less time.

"YouTube ke jo videos the woh kam samay mein sab kuch revise kara rahe the... Maha Revision Series ho gayi ya phir 20 MCQ MSQ series thi... usne bhi mujhe bahut help ki."

These revision sessions allowed him to refresh important concepts quickly while strengthening his exam preparation during the final months.

Error Analysis, PYQs, and Mock Tests Changed Niranjan Hebli's Performance

Niranjan believes that improvement came not just from solving questions but from carefully analysing every mistake.

"Mere paas do notebooks rehti thi. Ek class notes aur ek error book... us error book mein main likh leta tha ki kya-kya galtiyan thi."

Maintaining an error notebook helped him avoid repeating similar mistakes in future tests. Along with that, previous year questions became an essential part of his preparation.

"PYQs sabse zyada important hai kyunki bhale hi questions repeat na ho lekin concepts similar hi aate hain."

He also ensured that he never skipped mock tests.

"Weekly test to maine saare hi diye the... Full length test bhi maine saare diye the."

Regular testing, detailed analysis, and repeated practice gradually improved both his accuracy and confidence before the final examination.

Niranjan Hebli Stayed Consistent Even During Difficult Phases

One of the strongest aspects of Niranjan's preparation was consistency. Even when mock scores were low and negative thoughts appeared, he continued studying without taking long breaks.

"Paanch mahine maine lagataar padhai ki thi. Maine ek bhi din waste nahi kiya tha."

His disciplined routine allowed him to complete the syllabus, revise regularly, and steadily improve through practice rather than expecting instant results.

Niranjan Hebli's Advice for GATE Aspirants

Looking back at his journey, Niranjan believes consistency matters more than temporary motivation.

"Enjoy the journey... Bahut saare negative thoughts aate rahenge... Bas consistency pe dhyan rakhna hai. Jitna consistent rahoge results aate rahenge."

His journey shows that even if preparation begins later than expected, disciplined study, regular revision, continuous practice, and learning from mistakes can lead to excellent results. For future GATE aspirants, Niranjan's experience is a reminder that steady improvement over several months often matters more than trying to achieve perfection from the very beginning.
