They need to memorize reactions and have a clear understanding of mechanisms for Organic Chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry, in comparison, is memory-based, but can score good marks if you read NCERT and reference books in the right direction.

Planning out the JEE 2026 Chemistry syllabus can be covered well within 150 days if done smartly. With a certain number of hours and revision cycles, even the toughest of topics are bound to become easier.

JEE 2026 Chemistry 150 Days Strategy

Learn JEE Chemistry in 150 days is an effort to help you plan your time in equal proportions for concept building, practice, and revision. Creating a timetable will help you study Physical, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry while avoiding overload. 

Phase 1: NCERT and Concept Clarity (Days 1–50)

The initial 50 days are dedicated to building a strong foundation by focusing on concepts.

  • Read NCERT: Start with Class 11 and 12 NCERT textbooks. Cover every chapter, concept, and example in detail. NCERT is the base of JEE Chemistry, especially for Inorganic Chemistry and most conceptual questions in Organic Chemistry.

  • Conceptual Understanding: While reading, try to understand the “why” behind reactions, derivations of formulas, and the reasoning in Physical Chemistry problems.

  • Note-making: For concepts or reactions that are difficult to remember, create your own notes. This will aid in quicker revision later.

  • Practice NCERT Exercises: Attempt all the exercises given at the end of each chapter in NCERT. These exercises will help in strengthening your fundamentals and identifying patterns for JEE questions.

  • Time Management: Allocate at least 2–3 hours daily for reading and practicing NCERT. Ensure to cover all three branches (Inorganic, Organic, Physical) equally during this phase.

Phase 2: Reference Books and Previous Year Questions (Days 51–100)

Now that you have built a solid base, it’s time to move on to more challenging problems and understand the exam pattern.

  • Reference Books: Practice advanced-level questions from Arjuna (Class 11) and Lakshya (Class 12), as these books are designed according to the JEE exam pattern. These books help students in preparing to solve difficult questions.

  • Previous Years’ Questions (PYQs): Solve JEE Main questions from 2019–2025 to have an idea about the type of questions that are frequently asked in the exam. This will help you in identifying important topics and recurring patterns in the exam.

  • JEE Advanced Papers: Attempt 48 Years of JEE Advanced solved papers. These papers are a bit tougher than JEE Main and will help you in training your problem-solving skills for complex questions.

  • Revision with EaJEE Notes: Make use of EaJEE handwritten notes for quick revision of formulas, reactions, and important points without wasting time in reading unnecessary content. These notes are helpful in memorizing concepts.

  • Time allocation: Spend 3–4 hours daily on problem-solving and 1 hour for quick revision. Allocate time for Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry based on your comfort level and weak areas.

At the end of this phase, you should be able to solve higher-level questions and be well-versed with the JEE question pattern.

Phase 3: Mock Tests and Revision (Days 101–150)

Revision, speed and accuracy are the key focuses during the last 50 days.

  • Daily Mock Tests: Take timed mock tests to get used to the exam conditions. Review your mistakes and immediately work on your weak areas.

  • Chapter-wise Tests: Practice chapter-wise tests to pinpoint your weak areas. Work on topics where you lack accuracy.

  • Organic Chemistry Practice: Regularly revise reaction mechanisms and formulas. Keep a set of flashcards or handwritten notes for quick revision.

  • Absolute JEE Advanced Chemistry: Solve high-level questions to ensure you are prepared for challenging problems.

  • Final Revision: Go through all your notes and NCERT formulas multiple times. Aim for speed and accuracy during this revision.

  • Time Allocation: Spend 4–5 hours daily on practice and revision. Cut down on learning new topics; focus on polishing your problem-solving skills and memory.
